Eric D. Shevin, Esq. practices exclusively in the area of State and Federal criminal law. Mr. Shevin’s practice is based in Southern California and has successfully served clients from 1992 to present. In addition to representing clients throughout the State of California, Mr. Shevin represents individuals nationally in both State and Federal Courts, and has won significant victories for his clients in Hawaii, Louisiana, North Carolina, Missouri, Ohio, New York, Nevada, Texas and Tennessee.
Mr. Shevin obtained his Bachelors degree at San Diego State University in 1989. After completing a clerkship for Senior Judge Bernard Revak of the San Diego Superior Court, Eric began his career with the Juvenile Division of the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Shevin received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego in 1992, and briefly worked as a civil litigation attorney. In 1993, Mr. Shevin returned to his native Los Angeles where he has established himself as one of the premier criminal defense attorneys specializing in the area of Marijuana laws.
Mr. Shevin prides himself on vigorously defending his clients in order to achieve the best possible results. Mr. Shevin has defended hundreds of medical marijuana cases throughout California, with the vast majority resulting in absolute dismissal. As an attorney, Mr. Shevin has filed motions in Federal Court in an attempt to prevent Federal interference with the Compassionate Use Act.
